Winter Activities

Minimize

Nendaz is part of the world renowned 4 Vallees ski area which also includes the villages of Verbier, Les Collons, Thyon, Veysonnaz and La Tzoumaz. The area, which is one of the largest skiing domains in Europe, extends to 412 km of ski runs served by 92 lifts and rising to a high point above Mont Fort Glacier at 3,300 metres above sea level.

Skiing/Snowboarding is the main attraction for most visitors during the winter months, however there are plenty of other activities/attractions for non-skiers or for those who simply fancy doing something different including snowshoeing, sledging, snowtubing or cross country skiing.

Skiing / Snowboarding
A telecabine links the village of Nendaz to Tracouet at 2,200 metres, which in turn links into the rest of the 4 Vallees lift system via Siviez. Alternatively, a regular free bus service runs between Nendaz and Siviez providing direct access to the other parts of the 4 Vallees.

See This Link for more information on buses.

Most of the ski runs are over 1700m in altitude and those leading back to the resort are equipped with artificial snow canons, which guarantees high quality snow conditions from December to April.

The pistes across the 4 Vallees are vast and extremely varied. For beginners, areas around Tracouet and Siviez offer excellent slopes for learning. For the more experienced, runs such as Mont Fort, Col des Gentianes and Chassoure offer some testing and often bumpy conditions.

Click on Ski Maps for an ordinary 4 Vallees piste map, an interactive ski map and for virtual panoramic views of Tracouet and various other locations around the 4 Vallees.
